Battle of the MBP Battery Bulge!
There comes a time for many an unfortunate purchaser of a 2007-era MacBook Pro when one's battery spontaneously decides to grow by a 1/4 inch, disrupting touch pad operations and causing general user malaise. That time has come for me, and it came quickly and without warning. Fingers crossed Applecare will cover a replacement, no questions asked. Beware the Bulge!
UPDATE, SEPT. 3: I read Internet rumors that you could just whip out the battery and be out the door with a replacement in 5 minutes. Took more like an hour, but it was replaced free of charge. Power on new battery!
