They're made out of bronze; based on heads from a fountain made in 1750. More info here: http://www.lacma.org/art/exhibition/ai-weiwei

I didn't photograph all 12, but they are all impressive.

I got my postcard in the mail today. It works! (btw the design of the back isn't too bad; lots of helvetica, and even a real stamp!)
